Emily Hockemeyer APRN, NP-BC
Emily Hockemeyer NP-BC grew up in Northeast Allen county in Monroeville, Indiana. She attended Concordia Lutheran High School in Fort Wayne, where she excelled both academically and athletically, receiving All-State honors in both volleyball and softball as well as two state championships in basketball.
She went on to further her education at Purdue University in West Lafayette and completed a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Health & Kinesiology, followed by a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing–graduating with Honors. Over the summers during college back in Ft. Wayne, Emily worked as a certified assistant and home health aid continuing to grow her knowledge in the medical field.
Following graduation as a Registered Nurse, she worked in the Emergeny Department at IU Heath Arnett in Lafayette, IN. She also took a travel nursing position at Ascension St. Vincent in Indianapolis working in their Level One Trauma center. During her time as an ER nurse, she became certified in trauma nursing, was a member of the hospital stroke committee, trained new nurse orientees, and was on the frontlines during the COVID pandemic.
Emily had a passion to further her education to provide the best care to her patients. She received her third degree from Purdue University with a Master’s of Science in Nursing in May 2021, successfully achieving board certification as a Nurse Practitioner through American Nurses Credentialing Center. For the last two years, Emily has been a nurse practitioner at a Medical and Wellness spa in Lafayette, Indiana. She successfully expanded the practice to include a wider variety of integrative medical services including obesity managment and hormone balancing. She completed training and became a BioTe certified practitioner in July 2021 to provide bio-identical hormone replacement therapy. She also is a member of the Obesity Action Coalition. Her other areas of expertise include aesthetic neurotoxin injections, lip rejuvenation, TMJ injections, body sculpting, and vitamin therapy.
